バカ 猫 on the Takao mountain

autumn in Japan is really beautiful.
i went to Takao mountain and to Kyoto. both places at that time were perfect for pictures.
it was a rainy day and there was fog in Takao, but still it was very beautiful view :)

in some pictures you can see Shinjuku, even if you`re at least 50 km far away from it.
on the way up there was a long wall of wooden plates with people names on it. as far as i know, those people donated trees or at least money for that mountain.

you can see many temples or shrines on that mountain. almost each of them had water or smoke place to purify yourself before going to that temple. you scoop some water, pour it on your left hand, then on the right. then wash your face/ mouth and pour it out washing the handle.

also, you can wash your money, put back to your wallet and hope to get more later. or you can wash (1 yen, 5 yen, 10 yen) coins, think of wish and throw into water.

バカ 猫 aka 侍 (samurai)

please imagine:

here comes two samurai with all necessary equipment.
- 何か あったんですか。
- ぼく は あなた が 殺す。 いいですか。
meaning: what`s wrong/what happened? - i want to kill you now. is it ok?/can i?

well, sounds strange or even funny, right? how about this

-何か あったの! ぼく は あなた が 殺す。
(sth`s wrong?!! i`ll kill you!!)
and here should be a bloody fight with katana`s.

well, if you couldn`t understand what i was trying to say, don`t worry.

i just wanted to post some photos of me and my friend when we tried to be samurai and maiko.

バカ 猫 vs 名前

since i was a child i read many books and watched many movies. i was always thinking about the names that i like. well, usually it depended on the main characters.

for example, Nikita - i at least wanted to name my dog `nikita` when i have it (i got a cat, named `muse` [fly] but that`s not the point). i liked long names and wanted to name my son `Nikolai` (Никола́й), so that i could call him `Nichola` or `Nicholas` (i watched too much stuff about vampires ^^). the other one was Daniel. as far as i remember, i thought of at least two reasons for that name.

first, an animal that lived in the woods with the goddess Artemis (i loved Greek mythology). at least in my language it is translated as `danielis` (in english it`s `
fallow-deer` if it makes any sense).

second, a male name that`s not so common in my country and that sounds nice to me ^^.

later i thought that my son`s name should start from the same letter as mine, so it should be Vilius or Wilhelm or sth like that.

later i started to watch more anime. one of my favorite characters was Yuki (雪ーゆき). i fell in love with this name because i liked the main character, because of the sound and of course because of the meaning - snow.
i like snow, i like winter when it`s white and beautiful but anyway i like ゆき also because of Maxence Fermine`yuki`. maybe it`s not a very special book but i like it.

well, now i don`t think about names that much. i`m not planning to have a family soon so i don`t need to do that. :)

on my first day in Japan during the newcomers self introduction there were more Daniels in one dorm than i`ve ever seen. and i even have one in my class. OK. 私 は バカ 猫 だ。どうだろう? :)

and one of my dorm mates is ゆき. even though she`s from Hokkaido where you can find snow almost all year round. she can`t stand cold. ちょっと おかしい。ちょっと おもしろい、ね。

バカ 猫 on bicycle vs Tokyo transport

usually when i bike in Japan i promise myself to stay alive. and at that time i`m really concerned about my life. not about health, but my life.. some streets are very narrow or there`s no space for bikes or even for pedestrians.

anyway, today i was biking from my campus to a cheaper shop with my dormmate and once again i experienced something not so very fun.
i was crossing the smaller street after a car and was almost run over the other that started beeping. there were no shingo (traffic lights or whatever) for pedestrians and bicycles, so it should be always green for me (at least it usually was).
ok. next there were street works and you have to get off your bicycle to pass them quickly and safely (or go after another person, who is going to take care of safe trip. at least you hope so).
well, usually i like people regulating the traffic `cause they wave and smile (usually) but sometimes they`re just in the way..

later a car came out of nowhere right before me and stopped in the middle of the pedestrian track. ok, thank you very much. well, i guess i should mention that that car came without lights and it was dark. (my bicycle`s light is not very good. in Japan it is more important to show that you`re coming than to lighten your road).
it`s scary and i don`t like it.

that`s for today :)

about

i never thought that i`ll like cats. i hated them.

from childhood i had parrots and wanted to have a dog. my friends had, but i couldn`t. well, at least i had one in my village.

later my friends started to call me `cat`. my friend said that i talk like a cat, my sectionmate said that i drink like a cat and when my bestfriend`s bf looked at my photo said that i look like a cat..
weird, huh? i always wonder why

well, that`s all for this time. i like confessions and i do it too often. i guess that`s my biggest problem.
