バカ猫 & the Fuji-山
well, during my holidays i didn`t do anything so very special that i could write many posts about it. half of the time i was laying in bed or watching movies at my friends place or completely doing nothing.
later i started to travel a bit around Tokyo. like Yokohama, Kamakura, Kawasaki and Mt Fuji.
well, when we went to Fuji san, we were planing to get to the middle of it by bus, but it was closed (reason - out of season). so we at least went to Kawaguchi-ko and looked at the mountain from there. it was a very beautiful day and when my friends saw the pictures, said that they all look like postcards :)

New Year`s day /Imperial palace
おしさしぶり !!
あけまして おめでとうございます!!
ok, i know, that the New Year`s day was a long time ago, but anyway. i`m trying to be polite ^^
well, i`m not going to write how i celebrated that day. it`s enough to say that it was a great international party. Lithuanians/Japanese/Americans/French ^^
oh, at that time we missed two very important things.
1. snow
2. fireworks.. not a single one.. :/
anyway
on the 2nd of January my friend decided that we need to go to the imperial palace. it`s opened only twice a year (on the emperor`s birthday dec 23rd and jan 2nd) so it`s a `must see`. ok, whatever..
so, that night both me and my friend slept for about 2 hours.i don`t know why it just happened. we were sooo alive and happy and whatever :) well, i understand that i may look strange writing like this, but again `whatever` :))
so, we had to pass 3 security posts (bags, body check and metal detectors). after that i thought that there`s no use for that security thing at all. if you really wanted to bring sth with you,you could bring it. but there`s no point in that, too :))
so, we started our journey. `don`t stop while taking pictures!!` and so on. there were millions of people.. 多すぎる。へんなすぎるよ。
i had no idea what we are going to do but i sort of expected to enter the palace, see the rooms and so on. but as soon as i saw so many people i had to give up on that idea. we just walked with mass, taking pictures while slooowly walking and listening to japanese traditional music.
we reached some wide area, where people and press were waiting for sth. we had no idea what to do so just waited together with the crowd. 5min, 10 min, 15min... then we thought about going further, but only one look around was enough for that idea to rest in peace.. there were too many people..
so,we waited for 20 more minutes until we heard why we are waiting there.
the emperor was going to say a short speech. reaaaally worth waiting..
ok. i know i`m a bad person that i reaaaaly don`t care about sth like that. i don`t even know the emperor`s name. it just doesn`t apply to me. i just wanted to see the palace but i was only able to pass it..
so, we waited for 40minutes, then the royal family came out. people around us were waving small Japan`s flags and shouting with happy faces.へんな。。 the emperor said few words, waved and went back to his apartments. all show took about 2minutes.. veeery interesting.. especially when i didn`t hear a single word of his speech, because people around me were too enthusiastic, shorter than me and tried to test their flags` strength in my head.. heh.. it`s a very bad thing to be tall in Japan.. well, sometimes :))
so, after the speech we slowly moved to the exit. maybe lack of sleep made us hyper active that we were talking in very loud and happy voices in our native language. i wonder if we scared anyone :)) i wish,we did :))
so, we were not very happy with that event, but later we went to a very beautiful park. so it was quite ok.
until the next event. we got lost for at least two hours :))
well, it wasn`t a very bad thing, we knew that we can come back home, but we wanted to find the same train station. so we were walking in an empty city with no cars, no pedestrians.. trying to find our way according to the train routes (well, everyone who was in Japan should already know that maps, especially subway ones are not accurate at all). it was stupid and maybe that`s why it was fun.
so, that`s all folks :))

バカ 猫 on the Takao mountain

autumn in Japan is really beautiful.
i went to Takao mountain and to Kyoto. both places at that time were perfect for pictures.
it was a rainy day and there was fog in Takao, but still it was very beautiful view :)
in some pictures you can see Shinjuku, even if you`re at least 50 km far away from it.
on the way up there was a long wall of wooden plates with people names on it. as far as i know, those people donated trees or at least money for that mountain.
you can see many temples or shrines on that mountain. almost each of them had water or smoke place to purify yourself before going to that temple. you scoop some water, pour it on your left hand, then on the right. then wash your face/ mouth and pour it out washing the handle.
also, you can wash your money, put back to your wallet and hope to get more later. or you can wash (1 yen, 5 yen, 10 yen) coins, think of wish and throw into water.

バカ 猫 aka 侍 (samurai)

please imagine:
here comes two samurai with all necessary equipment.
- 何か あったんですか。
- ぼく は あなた が 殺す。 いいですか。
meaning: what`s wrong/what happened? - i want to kill you now. is it ok?/can i?
well, sounds strange or even funny, right? how about this
-何か あったの! ぼく は あなた が 殺す。
(sth`s wrong?!! i`ll kill you!!)
and here should be a bloody fight with katana`s.

well, if you couldn`t understand what i was trying to say, don`t worry.
i just wanted to post some photos of me and my friend when we tried to be samurai and maiko.
